Johnnies Lose LoVett for the Season

Jamaica, NY—Reports coming from campus, are unfortunate but turn of events have been confirmed. Sophomore guard Marcus LoVett has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. LoVett suffered a knee injury during the Advocare Invitational, and has not been seen again on the court.

Chris Mullin spoke about losing his starting guard, “Marcus has a bright future ahead, so while it is disappointing that he will miss the remainder of the season, his long term health is the primary focus.”

The Red Storm will now have to shuffle their lineup, as Tariq Owens will most likely be inserted into the lineup at the forward position. Justin Simon will now play shooting guard and move over to the left.

LoVett started all seven games this season, and averages 14.9 points per games. The Preseason Second Team All-Big East selection dished out 12 assists and recorded 15 steals playing a little over 30 minutes per game.
