(PDL) Euro Returns Home vs. Lehigh Valley

The PDL first team (2-9-0) returns to Aviator Sports and Events Center tomorrow as they complete their final two home games of the 2018 season. They welcome in the Lehigh Valley United (1-9-1) for a matchup that begins at 7:00pm.

In the previous contest against Ocean City, FA Euro outshot the home team by two. A total of 28 shots went off the feet from both sides. 15 for the visitor, and 13 for the home team.

Against Lehigh Valley on the road, was the first game of the season that then interim head coach Joe Balsamo sent the first team towards their winning ways for the first time. FA Euro is 4-0-0 against the United of Lehigh Valley dating back to 2017.

Coming off a pair of brutal losses to New York Red Bulls U23 squad, and the Ocean City Nor'Easters respectively, the first team looks to bounce back versus a team from Pennsylvania, in which they have had a lot of success against.

Allowing 12 goals and scoring none has been the teams achillies heal since club president Joe Balsamo. Seven allowed to the Red Bulls on 6/25, and five allowed to Ocean City on 6/30.

The PDL debut for Sory Konate became a reality for the 2000 rising star last weekend, as Sory played 21 minutes at Ocean City. He looks to continue the dream against Lehigh Valley on Saturday evening. His teammate Jimmy Barrios, will look to make his PDL debut as well. Barrios, along with Vincent Balsamo and Konate, were called up prior to the Ocean City contest, but were scratched from the lineup.

Returning to the lineup tonight is Queens native, Alexis Santa, who scored a goal against the United in the 7/9/17 contest, will look to continue his successful play against the Bethlehem based club.

Injury updates includes Alexis Santa returning to the lineup after missing last week's contest at Ocean City with an illness. Robi Sillah is questionable due to a personal matter. Matt Dabrowski has been scratched.
